IHWI Principal Investigators Jerry White and Chantelle Richmond with Eric Guimond
On February 14th, IHWI welcomed Eric Guimond, Acting Director, Strategic Research and Analysis Directorate, Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. Prior to his presentation “The Aboriginal Peoples Survey: Current Issues and Future Prospects”, Dr. Guimond took the opportunity to talk with graduate students to discuss life in the public sector, specifically focusing on securing policy jobs in the federal government.
On March 6th, IHWI and the Faculty of Education at Western University welcomed Dr. Margaret Kovach (second from left), Associate Professor, Educational Foundations, College of Education, University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Kovach presented her talk "The Interdisciplinarity of Indigenous Research Approaches”. Prior to her talk, Dr. Kovach met with graduate students to discuss her book: Indigneous Methodologies Characteristics, Conversations, and Contexts.
